Hey Family and Friends,

I want to share something with you that's very close to my heart.

In October 2018, I lost my mother to dementia. Even though I'd spent my career as a grief specialist — helping others through their hardest moments — when it was my turn, I realized I needed something different. Something simpler. Something that met me where I actually was, not where I thought I should be.

That's how the EMBRACE Model was born.

EMBRACE stands for Evaluate, Maintain, Balance, Reach Out & Release, Action, Connect & Commit, and Empower — seven gentle steps for navigating whatever life puts in front of you. Not a quick fix. Not a "just think positive" approach. A real, structured way to move through the hills and valleys with compassion and clarity.

Underneath the model runs something I call The 6 P's of Personal Growth: Pause, Pinpoint, Process, Plan, Practice, Progress. And it all starts with that first P — Pause.
